“Syme had vanished. A morning came, and he was missing from work: a few thoughtless people commented on his absence. On the next day nobody mentioned him. On the third day Winston went into the vestibule of the Records Department to look at the notice-board. One of the notices carried a printed list of the members of the Chess Committee, of whom Syme had been one. It looked almost exactly as it had looked before—nothing had been crossed out—but it was one name shorter. It was enough. Syme had ceased to exist: he had never existed”

This Will Not Make You a Superhero (or a god)

Elon Musk and other technocrats like him are eager to sell you on Neuralink. No matter how it’s packaged, implanting interface chips into your brain IS invasive & ripe for hackers to manipulate & abuse people beyond our wildest imagination.

Neuralink Corporation is an American Brain-computer interface Neuroprosthetics company founded by Elon Musk and others, developing implantable brain–machine interfaces (BMIs). Neuralink reportedly will build brain implants for medical use and to give healthy people superpowers. The idea has gotten the public excited about a coming era of consumer-friendly neurotech.

However, this technology has far reaching implications. There have been many concerning questions about these devices. For starters, who has read write access to your brain? Where does the data go? & who controls what get’s collected? Are ads something we will have to just put up with in the future? What about our right to our own thoughts & privacy? Will users be forced to just give up their right to privacy in exchange for another convenience? Also, there has now been a plethora of studies showing the negative health effects of wireless devices affecting the body & this technologies interface is attached to the skull wirelessly connected to another device on your head, controlled via “smart” phone. Really?

For example, with Musk’s neural lace having access to your brain waves and any information that makes these your unique signature, if you are utilizing their neurological device will people have any option to turn it off? What protections will users have to control what data is sold to third parties? Is there any way to make sure your data stays private? The answer is NO.

Consider this: If you had the implant installed, what guarantee do you have against hackers since Edward Snowden’s wikileak disclosures revealed nothing is safe & anything can be hacked. What are the unintended consequence implications & who’s libel? Neualink? We know 5g will handle the huge data transfers to enable this technology to be widely used, won’t the health risk be exponentially higher than what is already of concern with the 5g rollout since it’s inside your body?

These questions raise fundamental concerns about your private thoughts and if that would lead to government intervention to protect your privacy rights and keep this technology from being abused. With all we know today, how can we trust any of them? Would you trust them with your most intimate thoughts? And then there’s pre-crime, but that’s another story….

"I think the subject which will be of most importance politically is mass psychology....Although this science will be diligently studied, it will be rigidly confined to the governing class. The populace will not be allowed to know how its convictions were generated."
-- Bertrand Russell in The Impact of Science on Society
“Beware the leader who bangs the drums of war in order to whip the citizenry into a patriotic fervor, for patriotism is indeed a double-edged sword. It both emboldens the blood, just as it narrows the mind. And when the drums of war have reached a fever pitch and the blood boils with hate and the mind has closed, the leader will have no need in seizing the rights of the citizenry. Rather, the citizenry, infused with fear and blinded by patriotism, will offer up all of their rights unto the leader and gladly so. How do I know? For this is what I have done. And I am Caesar.”
    – Julius Caesar
